Experience
Mr. Myers has extensive experience in medical malpractice, business litigation, construction litigation, employment litigation and personal injury. He has handled cases in a variety of jurisdictions including Missouri, Kansas, Florida, Mississippi, Iowa, New Jersey, California, Nevada, Texas, Montana, South Dakota, New Mexico, South Carolina and Washington State.
Mr. Myers’ medical malpractice experience consists of the defense of physicians and other health care providers in claims of medical malpractice and wrongful death. His business litigation practice includes representing business and their owners in claims for breach of contract, fraud, lost profits and disputes amongst owners. His construction litigation practice includes representing parties involved in claims of faulty construction and design. Mr. Myers’ employment litigation practice includes representing both employers and employees in non-compete litigation. Mr. Myers’ personal injury experience includes involvement in a significant number of fire and gas explosion cases, overhead line contact cases and car and trucking accidents. Mr. Myers joined Shaffer Lombardo Shurin (“SLS”) in January of 2008.
Professional
Mr. Myers is admitted to practice law before the State Bar of Missouri, the State Bar of Kansas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. He is also admitted to practice in front of the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mr. Myers is also a member of the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Mr. Myers is included in The Kansas City Business Journal’s Best of the Bar for business litigation for each year 2009 - 2012. He was also selected as a SuperLawyer by KC Magazine for each year 2010 - 2012 Mr. Myers was selected to the 2011 Forty Under 40 class by Ingram's, holds an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell and was named by KC Magazine in Top Attorneys in Missouri and Kansas for both 2011 and 2012.
In 1999, Mr. Myers was appointed as the Municipal Judge for the City of Roeland Park, Kansas. Mr. Myers is the youngest known judicial appointee in Kansas history.
Education
Mr. Myers received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri in 1994 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1997.
Personal
Mr. Myers and his wife Shannon have two daughters. Mr. Myers enjoys competing in Ironman triathlons, marathons and traveling.
