Mr. Runion has been an attorney with Shaffer Lombardo Shurin (“SLS”) since January 2008 and focuses primarily on tax, corporate, transactions, contracts and estate planning. Mr. Runion’s experience before joining SLS includes over twenty years working as a CPA and as an attorney both in private CPA and law firms, respectively, and in public companies.
Mr. Runion is admitted to practice law before the State Bar of Missouri, the State Bar of Kansas and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has been designated a Certified Valuation Analyst by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Mr. Runion received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual major in accounting and in finance from Washburn University in 1984, his Juris Doctor from Washburn School of Law in 1992 and his Masters of Law in Tax from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2003.
Mr. Runion and his wife Shelley have two children and reside in Prairie Village, Kansas.
